Surfers of the Zuvuya and Edutainment

surfers of the zuvuya So I’m reading this crazy book. It was written in the 80’s and explains who the Maya really were.  This short book is by José Argüelles, (the artist who inspired our film) and is about his higher self, his “dimensional double,” Uncle Joe Zuvuya. They journey from the center of the earth to the outermost reaches of the galaxy. Uncle Joe instructs Argüelles in Mayan etheric engineering, Arcturian space stations, Atlantean family histories, and much more.

Surfers of the Zuvuya is essentially “edutainment” (or science faction), the genre I like to use when describing our project, the Time is Art documentary series. Movies likes Black Panther accomplish this on several levels by embedding ancient technology and culture into an epic story. (That’s another blog post).  Surfers of the Zuvuya makes galactic history fun.  For folks who are scared of contact or anything outside of their own town much less the greater reality in the universe, the style and tone of this book is very palatable for those who don’t eat exotic cuisine from other cultures.  As I’m reading this book, I’m getting this message; maintain this kind of tone in your movies.  If we present it as “edutainment”, perhaps people won’t label the films as “new age” (it’s actually ancient knowledge) or “too left”, too this or too that.

Jose also wrote this book after Harmonic Convergence, the first synchronized global peace meditation. His son had also recently been killed in a car accident. For a  human being to write something so playful after going through the highest highs and lowest lows is an incredible accomplishment.

And for everyone involved in this movement, there really seems to be little time for jokes because it simply isn’t funny – the dire need for the human race to deprogram in order to evolve.  Laughter is the best medicine (at least for the human race) and being playful can help face our dark sides. Perhaps that why the dark comedy genre has become more popular over the years.

In regards to my art (music and film) – this has always been my greatest challenge. For this second film,  can we expand on an unusual format by adding humor so we can reach a much larger audience? One of our goals for this film is to document the other side of the story. For example, we have been in search of a well-spoken funnyish Atheist to put in the movie. Can Atheists be funny? Well, if you happen to know one, please send them our way!   And in regards to my first screenplay which I’ve been working on for 4 years now – if you were to read it you might describe it as a dark-comedy-esoteric-love -science faction.

So check out this book! It’s one wild ride!  And on a more serious note, continue on the journey below…

31 Years After Harmonic Convergence (1987 – 2018)
By Stephanie South

No one can grasp the changes that are coming so quickly to our lives and Planet.

All that the higher galactic intelligences have wished for humanity to learn on a planetary scale is this: the only way to break the cycle of fear and destruction to which you have made yourselves hostage is by creating a complete planetary field of trust.

Thirty-one years ago on August 16-17, 1987 (Kin 55-56), Jose Arguelles spearheaded the Harmonic Convergence, the first synchronized global peace meditation with the purpose of synergizing the Highest Collective Intention of Humanity.

He envisioned that the synchronized intention of a human collective would create a signal more powerful than the atomic signal at Los Alamos in 1945.

This date was also the conclusion of a 1144 year Ancient Mayan prophecy of the 13 heavens and 9 hells. Arguelles put out a call for 144,000 people to meditate simultaneously at sacred sites around the world to establish a planetary receptacle to activate a new harmonic grid.

The testing and release of atomic radiation into the atmosphere of Earth on July 16, 1945, Kin 34, set up a signal which drew the immediate attention of the higher galactic intelligences.

He foresaw that with enough humans synchronized with peaceful intentions, the benevolent galactic intelligences could then stream communication through high frequency beams to catalyze the mental field of the planet and set up a new harmonic grid.

This would  activate a new planetary field of trust and initate the passage from competitive conflict to a time of collaborative cooperation. He envisioned this moment to be the first step toward transitioning civilization from a military state of terrror to a “de-industrialized, decentralized, post-military planetary society.”

In this vision all governmental and political structures would be replaced by vast numbers of bioregional local cells. He layed out plans for the dismantling of nuclear plants and all related armaments industries and technologies as well as the deployment of new technologies and worker reeducation programs.

He envisioned that by 2013, galactic synchronization, humanity would have evolved into beings possessing a brilliantly simple yet sophisticated technology based on the matching of solar and psychic frequencies.

At this stage, the planetary grid would be operating on non-polluting technology, and with the “majority of humans living comfortably in small bioregional groups, strung together as information nodes on a communications system finally free of wires.”

He envisioned the transformation of technology, through the recognition that our own bodies (activated to their full bio-electromagnetic capacity) are the best and most sophisticated technology there is.  He put forth that the Human Body, once awakened and properly activated, is the path beyond technology and the meaning of the Galactic Mayan return.

All of his subsequent work had as its purpose the harmonic realignment of human, planet and cosmos, as well as practices and codes to turn on our forgotten technology via Galactic Mayan Time Science with its simplest daily application of the 13 Moon calendar.

“The meaning of the return of humanity as a planetary being bound by one common timing standard, the natural universal frequency of synchronization, is that the human mind and spirit will again become attuned to a perception of harmony and oneness with Nature.” –Jose Arguelles/Valum Votan

31 Years Later: 1987 – 2018

Thirty one years later and the world is vastly different than this vision. Technology has been weaponized through cyber warfare. Transhumanism and the hybrid age is rapidly advancing in the technological war against humanity. Even language is weaponized these days.

There is a vast gulf between our civilization and the recognition of earth as a total living system.

The collective did not enter the harmonic timeline. Yet there are still groups and inviduals evolving in the new frequency and strengthening the harmonic grid. We send infinite gratitude to these beings from every tradition, for it is their light that allows others to see in the dark.

We are now in a final battle of the war of souls. Everything appears inside out and upside down.  A Great Uncertainty pervades. No one is exempt from the fluctuating waves now bombarding our Planet.

Misunderstandings and aggression are rife. People are suspicious of each other. Depression and substance abuse is skyrocketing. Suicides are on the rise.

We are living in not just a polarized world but a multi-polarized world. Multiple forces, both on and off planet, compete simultaneously to influence the human mind. Some seek to enslave and dominate, while others seek to empower and liberate.

The primary mode of enslavement is through division and distraction. With so much information at our fingertips, people are losing their ability to introspect.

Our job is to stay awake, keep and open heart and not  become hypnotized. Those with the most illusions and attachments suffer the most. Much compassion is required. Stay open to update your perception as new knowledge is revealed.

All the veils are now being opened. Many cannot handle it and so split off into “comfortable” realms of the Unreality of their choosing. Every day, it seems, there are more versions of reality to choose from as the fragmentation is now quantum.

But there is only one Path that gives Life. That Path is the Reconnection to Primal Source by whatever name you call it.

We can experience this reconnection by focalizing our mind into its Unoriginated Condition, while at the same time maintaining Omnipresent Consciousness, i.e. “Be still and know I am GOD.”

Once we reach this Center point we can feel the New Living Cycle that exists on its parallel track of which many are attuned to.  But this Cycle, or new paradigm, cannot come into full Regenerative Focus until we, as a collective move out of the Past vibratory entanglements into the Present fractal-free waveform.

This requires an ever deepening purification of mind and heart, with the willingness to let go of preconceptions and face the possibility that Reality may not be anything like what we thought. The Harmonic Convergence is still happening and will continue to happen until everything is brought back to at-one-ment.

Those who are truly attuned to the Harmonic Convergence cannot be so if they are in judgement even against the fundamentalists. The point is the expression of universal compassion, forgiveness, and unconditional love for all of life. Those who are without sin shall cast the first stone. Sin may be understood to mean, that which interferes with another’s free will. Harmonic Convergence is the exercise of the common free will on behalf of all.–Jose Arguelles/Valum Votan

If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation. –Lao Tzu

A Celebration of Indigenous Peoples

indigenous peoples dayA lot of folks work long and hard to make Indigenous Peoples’ Day happen every year.

Some people don’t agree, (The Federalist, 10/9/2017). According to them, Native American tribes were savages who only did savage things to one another and to the white settlers. “Hardly worth celebrating,” they say.

Could we back off the white supremacy stance for just one day? Even ignoring the obvious point about white human savagery around the globe, (aka multinational corporations all mostly ran by white men), the challenge here is to get folks to be open to a shift in cultural perspective.

Try this: Columbus didn’t discover America, he discovered a place Italians were ignorant about, a place where indigenous people had been living for thousands of years. He also enslaved and tortured the natives as most colonists did. Captain Cook didn’t discover Hawaii or Australia or Newfoundland. He discovered places the British people had not known about, places that had had indigenous populations for centuries.

Sorry, politicians, but you don’t get to decide what becomes of this day or wether or not it should be a national holiday replacing Columbus Day. Indigenous People get to say, totally without your input, what they want/need to make of this day, and what they want the rest of us to make of this day.

The possibilities are profound and inexhaustible. Having this one day of the year to celebrate indigenous people is like having one Women’s Day or one Civil Rights Day a year. Honing the focus is a preposterous task. It could be:

  • A celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ language, art, music, literature, culture.
  • A forum on reforming school curriculum vis a vis the indigenous population
  • A day of historical and cultural awareness activities – Polynesian, Alaskan, Native American
  • A day of political action groups, preparing a nation-wide agenda for social justice, environmental justice and political participation
  • A day of honoring the ancestors with storytelling and ceremonies
  • A day of fund raising – to address urgent causes, such as the missing and feared dead indigenous women, the need for teen activity centers or solar installations

It could be all or none of the above. It will be what indigenous people want it to be. Let’s take our cues from the ancestors, grandmothers, teachers, activists and civic leaders. Let’s not presume to know what it should be.

If white people want to have input on what Indigenous Peoples’ Day should focus on, let’s start with an examination of our contributions to the marginalization of indigenous people. Let’s have the courage to delve into topics like white fragility and white supremacy.

We could spend the day learning about the history of white colonization from other than a white perspective. Let’s learn all we can about modern-day colonization issues in Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam by talking to the people who have called those places home for generations. How do native Hawaiians and Alaskans feel today about statehood?

We can become more informed about today’s indigenous rights issues. On Indigenous People’s Day every year, let’s develop a new appreciation for the contributions of indigenous people to the story of America.

Time is Art Screening + Retreat

tampa, time is art, screening, tampa palace, sept 27

Thursday, September 27, 7:30pm
Tampa Theater | 711 N Franklin St. Tampa, FL 33602

SyncLife1320 presents a FREE networking reception and community screening of the acclaimed documentary, Time Is Art: Synchronicity and the Collective Dream at Tampa’s Non-Profit Movie Palace.

This inspiring film follows an aspiring writer who is compelled to make sense of the mysterious and powerful energy she felt at her aunt’s deathbed. A series of strange coincidences leads her on an exploration of synchronicity – the concept that everything is interconnected, and that time is not so much a chronology as it is an infinite cycle. Considering herself something of a skeptic, she treads the fine line between nervous breakdown and ecstatic revelation as she seeks out guides in her search for answers. Together, they explore a reality where time is transformed from a unit that can be measured and commodified -“Time is money”- to an experience of oneness with the natural rhythms of nature and the universe. It is here that the writer discovers that time is, in fact, art.

Inspired by acclaimed & visionary author José Argüelles’ studies in ancient indigenous wisdom and presented as a cinematic meditation along the lines of Waking Life and SamsaraTime Is Art takes an experimental approach that allows us to experience reality as Jennifer begins to see it – one less concerned with linear storytelling, and more open to the cyclical patterns of nature, the hidden meanings of symbols, and the dreamlike overlapping of people, places, and moments. Compelling conversations with fellow seekers Toko-Pa Turner, Richard Tarnas, Amy Lansky, Graham Hancock, Daniel Pinchbeck and Rupert Sheldrake as well as artists and activists guide us through the underlying premise of the film: perhaps we can tap into a way of being that is not ruled by a finite sense of time, but rather by the ability to live in harmony with the true creative nature of our existence.

This event is FREE and open to the public. No tickets are needed.

The pre-film reception begins at 6:00pm. Following the 7:30pm screening, please stay for a panel discussion and audience Q&A with the filmmakers, and an optional sound bath experience with Omboy Rome that will begin at 9:30pm (suggested sound bath donation is $20). Transcending the chaos

art by Dan Singh @heyimadethisforyou

Today, perhaps more than any other time in human history, we are seeing the rebirth of a unity consciousness that incorporates many ancient streams of knowledge with the desire to write a new destiny for the human race. This rekindling of ancient wisdom with modern day mysticism is being brought about by the quest to bring a deeper meaning into a world that seems to have lost it; a fast-paced, materialistic world that seems to be obsessed with violence, death, and killing. Perhaps one of the reasons this resurgence is needed is because we can see how badly the world needs balance. We feel it personally in the stress of our daily lives, the imbalance of our relationships, and the ecological crisis of the Earth herself.

Yet in the midst of this chaos there is a new kind of human being born, a being that I call homo luminous; a man or woman of inner light who may perhaps be the next step in our evolution as a species. These are people who yearn to create the type of world where war, pollution, and struggle are a thing of the past; who have an innate sense of the sacredness of life and are committed to finding a way back to it. As forerunners to this more enlightened kind of human, we seek to move past the distractions in our outer world to find a more eternal Truth. We want to transcend the chaos of our heavy-handed politics, our materially co-opted media, our patriarchal religions, and the dysfunctional patterns of our relationships that have been handed down by our families. We are people who search for the beautiful, the true and the eternal. These luminous human beings know that in order to bring a new and better world into being, they must somehow align with these more eternal principles, if the world we are living in now is to ever heal.

art by Dan Singh @heyimadethisforyou

But discovering what has caused this imbalance in the world is not an easy task. Untangling the strings of history, culture, religion and power is not something generally discussed on the evening news. My book The Return of the Divine Sophia is a journey towards unraveling these elements of cultural belief that have caused us to fall out of rhythm with the Cosmos. By understanding how our past has shaped our present, and how our theological beliefs have programmed our societies, we can then chose whether to continue the path we are on, or rewrite our own destinies.

The ancient Mysteries of the past hold certain keys to recovering this inner balance that can help us to transform our world. These ancient teachings were taught within the great Mystery Schools some 4000 years before the birth of Jesus, and some 400 years after the Crucifixion. These sages saw the Universe as infinitely vast, and also profoundly personal, embracing the concepts of both God Within and God Without, concepts that we now call Immanence and Transcendence. They reconciled the disciplines of philosophy, religion, and science into one unified field, and they honored the Creator of the Universe as the Divine Father and Mother of the All.

At the heart of this wisdom is an inner alchemy that Jesus called the Way. It is a path of integration and transformation that embraces both the divine masculine and feminine within the heart. It is the inner path of Sacred Union taught by Jesus and by Mary Magdalene, but these teachings have also been taught by Thoth, the god of wisdom in ancient Egypt, by sages in Taoism and the Sufi world, and in the Old Religions of the Goddess, with people who lived close to the land and the natural cycles of nature. Intrinsic to the Way is the reclaiming of the Divine Father/Mother God within the heart. This creates a wave of enlightenment for ourselves and our societies… giving us the power to change our world.

Many of these secrets were encoded in the language of sacred myth and story so that they would not be forgotten, yet most of us can no longer translate the meanings behind this symbolism, steeped as we are in a less than enlightened society. It is only now as we embrace the sciences of astronomy, cosmology, genetics, biology, and quantum physics that we are really beginning to understand how these “myths” are really founded on deeper truths. We must explore the teachings of the Goddess, the inner alchemy of Union, the wisdom of the Masters, to discover the path that will lead us back to wholeness as a planet.

The Return of Ancient Goddess Wisdom

goddess wheel
Goddess Wheel By James Roderick

If history is to be believed, the gods and goddesses were many and they spread out across the world, from the Sumerian and Babylonian cultures across the Mediterranean. They great centers were in Lebanon, Egypt, the Indus Valley, and the Sinai peninsula. While some were primarily concerned with their own agendas, others were more deeply involved with the protection and enlightenment of humanity. Isis, for example, the daughter of Thoth, the god of wisdom, was one of those dedicated to the upliftment of the human condition. Her many attributes include curing disease, weaning humans from cannibalism, instituting marriage, inventing the loom, teaching the spinning of flax and weaving of cloth, as well as the domestication of animals, grinding of corn and revealing the mysteries of wheat, corn and barley.

ISIS – QUEEN OF HEAVEN

Today her name is being corrupted by our own planetary patriarchs who are afraid of the rising wave of female wisdom that threatens to bring balance to our world, and thus they have dubbed the terrorist group ISIL by the name of ISIS, polluting and distorting a deeper truth. As an advocate for the human race, these are some of her many titles: Divine Lady, Goddess of Fertility, Queen of the Earth, Lady of the Living, Goddess of Healing, Protectress of the Dead, Mistress of the Elements, Bestower of Divine Life, Ruler of Egypt, Queen of the Stars. How many of us could lay claim to even a tenth of this kind of industry and positive far reaching influence? Not many, I imagine.

TODAY’S CONTROVERSIES ABOUT THEM

In recent years, as the physical and historic evidence for the existence of Extraterrestrial World Civilizers has grown, there are some who chaff against the idea that we were once the children of the gods, and like children we were instructed in a way of life that we may or may not have invented ourselves. After all, they rail, are we not rulers of our own destinies now? How dare any race presume to dominate us, enslave us, or tell us what to do! We are free citizens of the world, and this is not to be allowed!

Like angry teenagers, we may choose blame the gods for all that has gone wrong on our planet, believing that elitist organizations like the Illuminati are a continuance of an ancient system of master and slave, “the have and have nots.” But are we better off now, than we would have been without the knowledge that they brought us? I believe we are, and now we are free to do what we want with that knowledge, and to make a better world.

MAKING OUR OWN CHOICES

While there is certainly some truth in the observation that for thousands of years there was once a more rigid structure to society that sought to give each person a role or a purpose, the gods left this planet long ago. Now we are in charge. And if we are honest, it is the human desire for riches, power and control that has created the social systems of the “have and have nots” in the world today.

We human beings are responsible for the suppression of knowledge and the manipulation of the masses for our own ends, not the gods. And it has been the power and resolution of the human spirit that has been hard at work for the past 500 years to change it with advances in science, new age thought, and a more universal and humanitarian approach to our own brothers and sisters. But we must ever be vigilant as we chart our own destinies in this world. Where we may have once given power to the gods, do we not now give over much of our power to our banking systems, our governments, our fossil based industries, our oppressive patriarchal religions, our political tyrants, and the good or bad leaders that we vote into office every year.

The gods were hardly perfect, but the jewels they left us were many. The question is now, what are we going to do with those arts of civilization? How can we create a more balanced, loving and sustainable world in the here and now? Now that we are in charge, what are we going to do about it? The answer lies within us all.

The Core Creative Frequencies Used by the Ancients

love frequency According to Dr. Leonard Horowitz, 528 Hertz is a frequency that is central to the “musical mathematical matrix of creation.” More than any sound previously discovered, the “LOVE frequency” resonates at the heart of everything. It connects your heart, your spiritual essence, to the spiraling reality of heaven and earth.

Independently confirmed by researchers, these core creative frequencies were used by ancient priests and healers in advanced civilizations to manifest miracles and produce blessings.

Math scientist Victor Showell describes 528 as fundamental to the ancient Pi, Phi, and the Golden Mean evident throughout natural design. Vic Showell and John Stuart Reid (a pioneer in acoustic research and cymatic measurements) have proven that 528 is essential to the sacred geometry of circles and spirals consistent with DNA structuring and hydrosonic restructuring.

528 resolves to a 6, the icon for physical manifestation. That is, 5+2+8=15; and 1+5=6 (using Pythagorean math). The symbol “6” reflects the “spiraling down from heaven into the wholeness of earth.” In fact, the Love frequency can be fundamental to broadcasting all matter and energy into reality according to the laws of physics.

Definition of the Love Frequency

528 is known as the ‘Miracle’ tone which brings remarkable and extraordinary changes. Dr. Joseph Puleo analyzed the meaning of the tone using Latin dictionaries and hidden entries from Webster’s Dictionary. The “Mi” tone is characterized as:

1. an extraordinary occurrence that surpasses all known human powers or natural forces and is ascribed to a divine or supernatural cause, esp. to God.

2. a superb or surpassing example of something; wonder, marvel [1125-75]; ME <L Miraculum=Mira(Ri) to wonder at. fr(French): sighting, aiming to hold against the light. (gestorum: gesture; movements to express thought, emotion; any action, communication, etc. intended for effect.)

How it cleaned polluted water in the Gulf of Mexico

In 2010, John Hutchinson, an electromagnetic energy expert from Vancouver, B.C., Canada, helped purify poisoned water off the Gulf of Mexico following the BP oil spill. He and his research partner, Nancy Hutchinson (formerly Nancy Lazaryan), used the 528 Hz frequency and other Solfeggio tones to reduce the oil and grease in polluted waters. The polluted area was treated with the frequencies for four hours the first day, and by the next morning, the waters were cleared. They also did four more hours of RF frequency to complete the test. The frequency device was situated about 25 feet up the beach from the water. They restored the water’s vitality as manifested by the return of fish, dolphins and even barnacles. Nancy said that ‘the water that had been murky brown was a clear green. Two dolphins came into 5 feet of water to visit. Lots of schools of fish and crabs [were] very active’.

Their results were certified by Dr. Robert Naman, President of Analytical Chemical Testing Laboratory, Inc. of Mobile, Alabama. Dr. Naman, an analytical chemist with almost 30 years in the field, tested the samples and confirmed the complete removal of oil and grease from the after treatment sample source tested.

As you can see, the amount of oil and grease “before” the frequency treatment was 7 ppm (parts per million, or milligrams per liter); while the samples that had undergone the frequency exposure measured less than 1 ppm.

John’s method of using sound and radio frequencies nearly eliminates the oil and toxins completely, and has no known dangerous side effects. John and Nancy can clear a radius of about a mile in one 24-hour session.

Analytical Chemical Testing Laboratory, Inc. (ACT) stated, “While the technology is not completely understood by the undersigned, it is clear that the process may have extreme value, and it should be given a chance to be presented and tested on a large scale basis.”

Who uses the 528Hz frequency?

Llewelyn S. Lloyd, in the Journal of the Royal Society of Arts (16 Dec., 1949), described his innate drive to “tune-up” to a “brighter,” more soothing and inspiring frequency than A=440Hz. The British author and composer expressed his preference for precisely A=444Hz tuning, that manifests the C-5-pitch at 528 Hz. He wrote that this 4 Hz higher pitch is more generally pleasing for musicians worldwide.

Recent research by veteran piano tuner and custom piano designer Daniel Koehler demonstrated the beneficial acoustic and spiritual impact of prototype pianos that include granite bridges to best accommodate the higher tension of strings tuned to A=444Hz. Koehler reported most enthusiastically that the 528 Hz frequency resonates most powerfully and enduringly.

In 2011, multiple Grammy Award nominee Amerie produced her new album – Cymatika, Vol 1 – in 528Hz frequency to broadcast genetic healing. Another artist, Scott Huckabay, performs exclusively using the C=528/A=444 Hz tuning. Every day more and more people tune themselves to the harmonic vibrations of 528 music.

In 2009, thousands of people gathered together to participate in the Live H2O Concert for the Living Water. People were playing and chanting in 528Hz, praying for all polluted water to be blessed worldwide. The Concert for the Living Water produced by Dr Leonard Horowitz and thousands of volunteers worldwide had no large commercial sponsors.

528Hz – The Love Frequency

528Hz
Everything in this Universe, including you, is vibrating at a frequency. This is because you and everything around you is energy.

The energy of the Earth vibrates at a 528Hz frequency which is the same frequency as Love, the Universal Healer.

The frequency of 528Hz is believed to be so powerful that it can help repair and restore DNA damage, bring peace and harmony and restore equilibrium to everything around it. Talk about good vibrations!

528Hz is the sound of Love however, there are many conspiracy theorists out there that believe that modern day music, TV commercials and the like are programmed at a lower and unnatural 440Hz frequency which is designed to stimulate fear, sickness and oppression.

The theory is that the 440Hz frequency was adopted during the Nazi regime in order to control prisoners and lower their consciousness. Then in 1940 the US introduced 440Hz as the standard frequency.

440Hz is an unnatural tuning frequency and according to Dr. Leonard Horowitz “the music industry features this imposed frequency that is herding populations into greater aggression, psycho social agitation and emotional distress predisposing people to physical illness.”

528 frequency

When particles vibrate at 423Hz there is order and geometry. When they vibrate at 440Hz however, there is confusion and lack of structure.

When your environment and your body begins vibrating at a lower or an unnatural frequency it can cause illness throughout your body, mind and spirit. In fact, illness often manifests on an energetic level first and then moves into the physical level.

It is believed that when your body is in harmony it vibrates at around 62-68Hz and anything lower than this can contribute to a weakened immune system. Colds and flu’s are believed to start around 58Hz, whereas cancer can appear around 42Hz. Before death takes hold your energy is also believed to dip below 20Hz.

There are many factors that can lower your vibration including:

  • Negative thoughts or being surrounded by negative people
  • Watching violent or horror movies and watching TV in general
  • Electromagnetic frequencies from cell phones, computers etc.
  • Radiation from microwaves, wi-fi connections etc.
  • Stress, anger and anxiety
  • Poor diet, GMO foods and processed foods
  • Exposure to household cleaning chemicals and pesticides
  • Smoking, alcohol and drugs

Famous physicist, Nikola Tesla also researched energetic frequencies and claimed that if we could eliminate certain frequencies that interfered with our bodies then we could lower the chances of disease.

Just like certain frequencies bring about disease there are other frequencies that stimulate healing and regeneration.

These frequencies are known as the Solfeggio scale, which is believed to have been used in ancient sacred music and Gregorian chants.

Each Solfeggio tone is designed to balance the energy of your body in order to keep it in perfect harmony. The 6 main tones are:

  • 396 Hz– liberates guilt and fear to help you achieve your goals
  • 417 Hz– helps to deal with change and removes old patterns and habits
  • 528 Hz– love and DNA repair, believed to bring about miracles
  • 741 Hz– helps to solve problems and express yourself, also a powerful cleanser
  • 852 Hz– awakens, allows you to see the truth, develops intuition
  • 936 Hz– reconnects you to oneness and light

Another powerful healing frequency is 432 Hz and this is believed to help induce a mediative state, stimulate the heart chakra and bring harmony to the body. Studies have also found that listening to music at a 432 Hz frequency can help stimulate calmness and happiness.

Just by listening to these frequencies either through music, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs or tuning forks you can begin to stimulate healing, however here are some other techniques:

Vibrational Medicine

Essential oils, flower essences and homeopathic medicines are all believed to hold a powerful vibration and frequency. The most potent essential oil is Rose and has been measured at 320 Hz, followed by Lavender which has been measured at 118Hz. Most fresh herbs also have a frequency of 20-27 Hz.

Organic/ Farm Fresh Food

Fresh, organic foods seem to have the highest frequency ranging from 20-27 Hz. To put it in perspective, certain GMO foods and processed foods have a frequency of 0 Hz.

Gems and Crystals

Each gem and crystal emits its own unique frequency that work in harmony with own human magnetic fields. The frequency of a crystal will depend on its clarity, cut and how it has been processed.

Some high frequency gems and crystals include penfieldite, diamonds, quartz, danburite, moldavite, tanzanite, sapphire and brookite.

Positive Thoughts

Positive thoughts carry a vibration of 10-15 Hz so it is easy to see how your thoughts can quickly effect your overall energy and wellbeing.

Mediation, Chanting and Deep Breathing

Conducting certain Mudras and deep breathing during mediation can also help raise your vibration as can chanting. The famous ‘Om‘ or ‘Aum’ is also a great way to enhance your vibration and bring about calmness and harmony.

Nature

Spending time in nature is a great way to harmonize your energy and bring equilibrium to the body. Earthing which requires you to walk barefoot on the grass is also a great way to reconnect with the energy of the Earth.

We are all energy so it makes sense that the different energies around us can influence us on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.

Synchronicity, the soul and our mental health

mental healthOne of the clearest emerging directions for mental health interventions in the 21st-century is the need to acknowledge a spiritual dimension in life. Spirituality partly involves a belief in some larger consciousness beyond ourselves that affects our lives. Religious people might refer to God, whereas others might consider that they receive messages or guidance from the universe. Mental health practitioners who ignore this widespread belief are likely to be less effective in helping many who access their services.

I learnt at a recent international psychotherapy conference that more people pay to receive help from alternative healers, including psychics, mediums and other spiritual advisers, than conventional mental health practitioners. It was speculated that therapy as usual fails to “sing to people’s soul”. Apart from ignoring the spiritual dimension it can same too mundane and reductionistic in its explanations. It is quite limiting to consider sufferers’ challenging life experience mainly in terms of biochemical imbalances in their brain, their habits or their consciously accessible negative thoughts. There seems to be more of a story to people’s struggles than that.

This is partly why I have been intrigued by my clients’ experiences of synchronicity, or meaningful coincidences, and what might be gained from them. Many people mistakenly believe that if you have a scientific bent then you need to believe that any coincidence, however striking, only occurs as a result of random chance. That seems to be an example of overly reductionistic thinking.

Many people believe that remarkable coincidences have non-randomly altered their lives in a way that seemed “meant to be”. Such experiences have been described as “sacred moments”. This might include a very improbable coincidental encounter with their future life partner or uncannily meeting someone who helped them solve a complicated problem. Many believe that synchronistic experiences have opened up uncommon career prospects or pointed them toward their life destiny.

On the other hand, negative events which block one’s current life path can also be considered to be meaningful, possibly leading to a change in direction or approach which might prove to be much more worthwhile. Not all meaningful coincidences are positive.

This doesn’t mean that we should just put all of our faith in responding to coincidences, and any interpretation we make of them, to point us in an optimal direction. Of course we’d best guide our life choices by drawing on rationality, or reason backed by objective evidence. However, we might additionally draw on our deeper intuition, something so often ignored in the mental health field.

Many people believe that if anyone finds a significant meaning in any coincidence they are reading too much into the situation, which should just be seen as a curiosity related to random chance. Many believe that seeing potential value in synchronicity is superstitious and unscientific.

However, a scientific mind involves more than being appropriately sceptical. Being a good scientist first involves being a good observer, and then testing one’s inferences against objective evidence. In the case of synchronicity this includes exploring whether strikingly meaningful coincidences can be adequately explained by random chance alone. I believe many examples I’ve heard can’t be realistically explained away like that. It comes down to our own direct personal experience.

At a recent milestone birthday, I asked my guests to bring me a written story about a meaningful coincidence as a gift. Around 40% of my guests contributed a story for my synchronicity jar, often about some most remarkable coincidences. They included lives being miraculously saved, including improbable events preventing someone’s suicide attempt, very frequently going to ring someone at the exact moment they ring you, or improbable encounters with aquaintances in a large foreign city or country.

Intriguingly, a recent British survey of over 200 therapists found that 44% reported that they had experienced synchronicity in the therapy setting, and that two thirds of the therapist respondents thought that acknowledging such experiences could be useful in therapy. There are clearly changes afoot in acknowledging soul in psychotherapy.

We might keep in mind that the Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Jung, developed his ideas of synchronicity following discussions with Albert Einstein about his unconventional notions of space and time. Jung wrote about synchronicity decades later with the active encouragement of Wolfgang Pauli, a founder of quantum physics. There is no inherent conflict between considering science and soul. Interestingly, the first international Science and Spirituality conference will be held in Vancouver in June this year. No doubt this will help stimulate further change in the psychotherapy world and in our broader culture.

Our Addiction to Suffering

buddha
“Lost Memories” by Kevin Roodhorst

by Amy Lansky

The Buddha said that suffering arises from craving — for instance, craving for more love, more possessions, more physical prowess or beauty. But sometimes I wonder if the truth is more akin to the reverse — that we crave our suffering. In other words, are we actually addicted to suffering?

In the past, I have occasionally mentioned my brother in my writing. He has suffered from mental illness all of his life and lives in an assisted living facility for the disabled in my hometown. I call him every Sunday. Some weeks are good, others are bad.

Yes, my brother has physiological reasons for his suffering, but he also tends to become unnecessarily mired in it. Because of his sensitivity, things that would seem minor to most of us can send him into a tail spin. Recently, relatively minor problems with his car freaked him out so badly that he ended up in the hospital for a day. Other days, an offhand comment or look from someone (who was probably just having a bad day, or perhaps meant nothing at all) can land him in bed for days. He often engages in negative self-talk and regrets. Simple day-to-day tasks for most of us, like bathing and teeth-brushing, are actually goals to be achieved for my brother. Some weeks he succeeds, some weeks it’s all too much.

I’ll admit that I can get frustrated with my brother’s suffering. But lately I’ve begun to wonder if it’s all just a matter of scale. After all, what may seem major to each of us might seem like a minor problem to other people. Haven’t you obsessed and suffered over a problem that weeks later is forgotten in the mists of time? How often do relationship woes that plagued you for weeks or months blow over when you realize it was all a misunderstanding or, if not, all for the best? And doesn’t it often seem as if the moment one cause for suffering clears up, we manage to find another? As a person who tends to be a worrier, I’ve really tried to catch myself when I find a new worry to substitute for another that has passed.

Why do we cling so much to our suffering?

Recently, I’ve been doing a lot of reading and research in the area of self-healing methodologies. I have written in the past about the ideas and techniques utilized in Huna, a system of thought and practice based on Hawaiian shamanism. As it turns out, Huna is also fundamentally related to other systems such as hypnotherapy (check out this recent book by my hypnotherapist Alba Alamillo) and recent writings of people like Joe Dispenza (“You Are the Placebo”) and John Sarno (“The Divided Mind”) — though they all use different terminology and come from different world-views.

Many of these authors point out that our brains and bodies actually become addicted to habitual thoughts and emotions. In other words, our suffering thoughts and emotions may literally be ingrained as deep pathways in our brains. Moving out of these patterns feels uncomfortable, and given the chance, we’ll fall right back into these habitual ruts of thought, emotion, and behavior. In fact, we’ll tend to notice things that support our habits of thought and ignore things that don’t. For example, if we tend to worry about our health, we’ll fixate on comments or articles that support these worries, but completely ignore evidence that contradicts these fears.

Humans also tend to have a negativity bias. For example, if we hear a negative comment about ourselves (or hear negative news in general), we will fixate much more on it than if someone praised us or something good happens in the world. In the past, this bias helped to keep us alive. We had to pay attention if lions were seen in the neighborhood; the cheerful comment of our mate necessarily carried less weight. But today, our tendency to notice and obsess over negativity has gone overboard.

The media know this well. All you need to do is pick up the morning newspaper to see that. Our entertainment has also become more and more frightening and negative. Even so-called “comedies” are more akin to chagrin-fests, with nary a chuckle evinced. My husband Steve and I need to look further and further into the past to find movies and TV shows that allow us to sleep at night. Even action shows of 20 years ago seem like comedies compared to today’s fare. All of us have become more and more addicted to horror, and the creators of our media and entertainment keep upping the ante to keep us that way. All of this is operating like a true addiction — with stronger and stronger fixes needed to keep us stimulated — whether it be sex, coffee, drugs, fear, or our own personal miseries.

How to break our addiction to suffering? The first step is to start noticing it. Notice those negative thoughts — putting yourself down, starting up new worries and fears. And as quickly as you can, replace them with positive thoughts — even if you can’t quite believe them at first. In fact, write them down. Say them out loud. Our “basic self” or our subconscious is more impressed by action than just thought.

It may feel weird and even uncomfortable at first to establish new pathways in your thoughts. Keep at it. Many researchers say it takes 3 weeks of effort to start getting better at this. Joe Dispenza also recommends combining your new positive thoughts with extremely heightened positive emotions like gratitude and joy. It’s like creating a huge wave of positivity that wipes out the deeply grooved negative thoughts in the sands of your mind. Much as I recommend in my book Active Consciousness, getting into Now+ — a meditative state of joy and gratitude in the Now — increases your ability to create a new future.

It is possible to break the pattern of habitual suffering. Even a positive thought or suggestion here and there can make a difference. I even see this with my brother. Rather than just commiserating with his suffering each week, it actually makes more of a difference if I say to him — “Try to get out and take a walk today”, or “Try to brush your teeth this week — you can do it!”. More often than not, he will tell me the following Sunday that he forced himself to do it because I said so, and felt better for it. My positivity and words of faith in him helped bounce him out of his suffering, at least for a while.

It is your own mind that keeps you addicted to your suffering. We all tend to do it. But you also have the ability to create new patterns and thoughts and emotions. Begin today!
